The Process
The onboarding process is straightforward, comprising only six steps, beginning with your application. The remaining steps are simple and time-bound.
Net Metering GuidelineApply for Net Metering
To obtain permission for solar system installation for net metering, you must submit an online application. Please follow the steps below:
- Click on the"Apply Now" link to access the application form.
- Select your utility and provide the Consumer Account Number.
- Fill up the required information.
- Agree to the terms and conditions, then Submit the Application.
After submitting the application, you will receive your login ID and password for dashboard access via SMS and email.
Apply OnlineLocation will be Inspected
In this stage, the utility office will perform the following activities:
- Verify the application and either accept or return it.
- Schedule a date for a location visit and notify you via SMS and email.
- A field visitor will visit your location and submit the field visit report to the approval authority.
Application will be Approved
In this stage, the utility office will perform the following activities:
- Verify the field visit report and either approve or reject it.
- Grant permission for the system installation and notify you via SMS and email. The process from inspection to approval will take a maximum of 10 working days.
You can Install the Solar System
In this stage, you need to perform the following activities:
- Install the solar system according to the guidelines provided by the utility office.
- After installation, submit an application for system evaluation (2nd application).
An Evaluation will be Conducted
In this stage, the utility office will perform the following activities:
- Verify the application for system evaluation, schedule a date for a location visit, and notify you via SMS and email.
- A concerned official will visit your location, evaluate the installed system, and submit the evaluation report to the approval authority.
An Agreement will be Signed
In this stage, the utility office will perform the following activities:
- Verify the system evaluation report and approve it based on bill clearance, schedule a date for agreement signing, and notify you via SMS and email.
- Sign the agreement with you on the scheduled date. The process from evaluation to agreement will take a maximum of 15 working days.
